The terms and conditions below govern your use of the Forces Equine website and its services. Forces Equine is operated by Forces Equine Ltd, Company Registration Number 08203892, on behalf of the Ministry Of Defence, but not an official body of. When Forces Equine is mentioned below it will refer to Forces Equine Ltd and will cover its volunteers or directors.
Terms and Conditions for Online Account

This section of the Terms and Conditions concerns the use of the website and the use of the online offers and other saving options on the website. Please read through the terms and conditions carefully. If you do not agree with any of the terms and conditions, do not use this website. If you do use the website, your conduct indicates that you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions, and do not hold Forces Equine or any of its volunteers or accountable for any information contained or not contained with the website.

Forces Equine provides discounts for members or companies offering equitation goods and services. The transactions that take place with these companies are done through their external sites and thus are not completed on the Forces Equine website. Thus it is the companies that are responsible for the transaction security on any purchases made. Forces Equine provides all its members the ability to interact, promote and experience equitation associated events and information that enables the sporting environment to thrive and offer the best to its members that it can offer.
  1. Forces Equine reserves the right to remove any user from the site, freeze their account and revoke their membership without prior warning if it feels the member is a breach to security or could be in the future.
  2. Forces Equine reserves the right to remove any user found to be abusing the discounts or other services or any other call to actions provided and ban them from the website. This can be conducted without consent of the member.
  3. Registered members are responsible for the safe keeping of user names and passwords and must make sure that they take all necessary steps to disclose information for unauthorised users. Forces Equine reserves the right to ask any of its members to change their password at any point it deems necessary to protect the account.
  4. Members must not create multiple accounts or try to change their membership number. Members must not lend or grant others their permission to use their membership rights. If any member is found to abuse the use of their membership then their account will be deleted without explanation or proof. That member will no longer be able to re-apply for another membership. If a password is forgotten or lost then the user must go through the appropriate route of the forgotten password link. Members must contact the Forces Equine team if this cannot be achieved or if further problems occur through the Help Centre area of the website.
  5. Members must make sure that their information is correct and up to date at all times. If any change of status occurs members are required to change these or inform Forces Equine of any changes. Please see the Privacy Policy as to the information that we will hold on you.
  6. The use of this website is reserved for those of the UK's Defence Community, Police Service, Ambulance Service and Fire Service. This includes the Serving Armed Forces, Veterans, Reserve Forces, Military School Pupils, Cadet Forces, Armed Forces Family Members and NATO Forces serving in the UK. Any member found not to be part of these will be immediately removed from the Forces Equine website.
  7. Other advertisements contained on the Forces Equine website contain materials created and submitted by third parties. The Forces Equine excludes all liability for this material and any illegality that may arise from these.
  8. The Forces Equine website contains links to third party websites that are not maintained or controlled by Forces Equine. Whilst Forces Equine does pick its companies carefully it cannot be held liable for any material on these sites and any illegal or wrong information on these sites.
  9. Forces Equine uses cookies to track the sales made on third party websites by members. No personal data is passed to third party websites and we use membership numbers that have no relationship to your personal details to track with. By signing up to the Forces Equine membership and agreeing to these terms and conditions you agree for Forces Equine to put these cookies on to your computer/device. Please see the Cookie Policy for full details on the Cookies that we use and the purposes of each.
  10. Laws governing the Terms and Conditions on this website shall be subject to only the laws of England and Wales which shall exclusively govern the interpretation, application and effect of all the above permissions, exclusions, licenses and conditions of use.
  11. Forces Equine endeavours to maintain the service it provides are being free from defects though it is not responsible or liable for any consequential loss or damaged for any errors or omissions within the service.
  12. All trademarks referred to on this website are acknowledged as the property of their respective owners. Forces Equine, its directors and its employees cannot be liable for any copyright or trademark infringements.
  13. Forces Equine reserves the right to remove any user found to be abusing any of the services and ban them from the website. This can be conducted without consent of the member.
  14. Results can take up to 5 working days to show on the Forces Equine website, especially on weekends. Forces Equine will endeavour to add the results to members’ scores as soon as it has been all relevant score sheets or other paperwork has been vetted by the Forces Equine team.
  15. Forces Equine uses cookies. No personal data is passed to third party websites. By signing up to Forces Equine and agreeing to these terms and conditions you agree for Forces Equine to put these cookies on to your computer/device.
  16. Forces Equine is an open and fair service that tries to provide the best to all its members. It does not shine favourably on anyone and hence it does not accept any advice or abuse from any member. Forces Equine is a private limited company that offers the service on behalf of its members and is in no way being in competition with other similar companies, associations or organisations. Forces Equine will not accept bullying or abuse from members of these similar companies, associations or organisations and will remove the counted parties from Forces Equine for life.
  17. If you wish for your details to be removed from our newsletter or if you wish to stop your full membership at anytime, we will request this in writing to our Head Office, address below. We take this measure for security reasons and due to data protection.
  18. As an independent organisation, we are not goverened by the MoD. Memberships are actioned on a personal level and at the individuals wish. If you fall into the criteria of Forces Equine eligiblity to join, please proceed further. All memberships are in agreement of our full terms and conditions.
  19. Forces Equine is a member and certificated by the ICO - Data Protection.
**These terms and conditions can be updated or changed at any time with no prior warning.

Our Promise

Forces Equine Ltd will respect your privacy and ensure that all sensitive and personal information provided to us is lawfully processed and held in accordance to the Data Protection Act 1998. Personal/sensitive information is deemed to be any information that identifies a living individual.

Forces Equine Ltd will control the data you supply and we agree to collect and control this information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Forces Equine Ltd contact information can be found on the bottom section of our website.

Controlling your information

When you sign up for our service, we will ask you to provide contact information such as your name, address, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and payment information such as would you like to pay via Bank Transfer or Pay Pal. We do not need to hold your payment information as this is done by you via your bank or through Pay Pal directly.

We may ask you to complete user surveys, and to provide certain demographic information, such as age, gender, special interests, etc. You do not have to provide this type of information to use our service if you do not want to.

If you contact us for customer support, we may also ask you for information about your operating system, software and other technical matters.

When you visit our website we will capture your IP Address, time of and duration of visit, and time and duration of the pages on our website that you view. We may tie this information to the personally identifiable information we have about you.

We will also place a cookie that will identify you to us as a repeat visitor or a customer when you visit our website. See "What is a Cookie" below. We may tie this cookie to the personally identifiable information we have about you.

When we send you an e-mail, we may include a marker that will allow to identify e-mail that is opened and viewed.

Using your information

We will use your personally identifiable information only as follows:

For payment purposes and to provide customer support;
  • To announce special offers or provide other information from time to time via e-mail. We may also send e-mail announcing special offers by our third parties, but we will not provide the third parties with your e-mail address or other personally identifiable information. If you do not wish to receive these e-mails, you may opt out of future e-mails at any time by following the instructions included in the e-mail;
  • To improve our service and the marketing of our service. For example, we may use the information we gather from user surveys, demographic data, and web site visits to help us improve or target our website and customize your visit.
  • We will not provide any personally identifiable information about you to any other person other than:

  • Third parties who perform services on our behalf (such as payment processing), subject to the third party agreeing with us that it will keep your personally identifiable information confidential;
  • To the parent, associated and subsidiary companies of Forces Equine Ltd.
  • To our affiliates, or as otherwise needed to protect or enforce our rights or the rights of others.
  • We absolutely do not transfer or sell your information for inclusion on third party e-mail or other marketing lists

Accuracy

Forces Equine Ltd endeavour to keep all personal information that they store up to date. We will amend any information we find to be inaccurate or are informed is inaccurate at our earliest convenience.

To ensure compliance with the data protection act 1998 Forces Equine Ltd are happy to supply you with any details they hold about you. There is a £10 admin fee for requests of this nature.

Use of non-personally identifiable information


We may share aggregate statistical data about our customers with third parties, such as advertisers or suppliers. This aggregate statistical data will not identify you personally.

Security of your information


We store your personally identifiable information and payment information on a databases located in the UK, and in full compliance of the Data Protection Act. All data such as card numbers are encrypted and we will take reasonable security measures to protect your personal identifiable data in our databases.

Childrens privacy

Our service is not available to persons under the age of 18, and we will not intentionally maintain information about anyone under the age of 18.

Payments via Credit Cards, PayPal & Bank Transfer

  • We do not store customer credit card details
  • We do not offer refunds or process cancelations as you will have full access to our discounts and insurance from the minute your details are processed.
  • Memberships are usually processed within 48 hours and you will be made aware of this by email with your membership number and website login details

What is a cookie?

A "cookie" is an alphanumeric identifier that is unique to your browser. The cookie will identify your browser to us when you visit our website so that we may customise your visit.
